The short version: we never store the product texts you scan, and we never store the addresses you scan. They are processed in memory to produce your result and are gone when the response is sent.
What we do keep
One anonymous row per scan, so we can see what the tool is being used for and which languages to build out next. It contains:
- the detected language and whether it had full or beta rule coverage
- whether the text was pasted or read from a page
- the number of findings and the outcome (pass, needs review, blocked)
- any markets you selected
- how long the scan took, and the error code if it failed
- the time it happened
That is the whole list. There is no identifier tying rows to each other or to you, so the rows cannot be traced back to a person or a company.
What we never keep
- the product text you paste
- the address you ask us to open, or anything read from that page
- the ingredients you enter
- names, email addresses or accounts — the scanner has no login
Cookies and tracking
The scanner sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts from other companies. Nothing follows you to other sites.
Rate limiting
To keep the free scanner usable for everyone we limit how many scans one visitor can run per day. That counter lives in the server's memory as a one-way hash of the IP address, it is never written to the database, and it disappears when the server restarts.
Our hosting provider
The service runs on Railway, inside the EU. Like any web host they keep short-lived technical server logs that can include IP addresses, for operating and securing the service. We do not use those logs for analytics, and we cannot connect them to a scan.
When you scan someone else's page
If you give us an address, our server fetches that page the way a browser would, identifying itself as RuleRadarBot. We respect the site's robots.txt. We read the page once, use the text for your scan, and keep none of it.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from the scanner, there is nothing to request access to, correct or erase. If you believe we hold data about you anyway, write to hello@ruleradar.eu and we will look into it and answer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
