Translation
Sell the same catalogue in twenty languages, legally
We translate your product copy — and we never translate an authorised health claim. The wording is looked up in the EU register and copied out in the target language, character for character.
A health claim is not translated. It is looked up.
Under Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 it is the wording that is authorised, not the meaning. A faithful translation that says exactly the same thing is still an unauthorised claim. That is the single thing an ordinary translation service cannot do for you, however good the translator is.
Your English source text
Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
translated by hand
C-vitamin hjälper immunförsvaret att fungera normalt.
the register's own wording
Vitamin C bidrar till immunsystemets normala funktion.
Both mean the same thing. Only the second one is legal to publish in Sweden. We take it from the Swedish language version of the regulation itself.
How it works
01
Start from a finished audit
Translation builds on an audit of the same catalogue. Without it we do not know which claims your text makes, which are already prohibited in English, or how many products you have.
02
Pick your languages
One price per language, so you can start with one market and add more later. There is no minimum.
03
We run it
Numbers, units, nutrient names and authorised wordings are settled before anything is sent to a model — what is never handed out cannot come back changed. Most orders are ready within a day.
04
One file per language
Same columns as the file you uploaded, same rows, same order. Import it straight back into your shop.
What is protected on the way through
- Every number is copied character for character, then written in the target language's format by code — not by a model.
- Nutrient names come from Annex XV of Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, not from a guess.
- Authorised health claims are copied from the register's own language version.
- Brand names, trademarks and flavour names stay in English.
- The same sentence is translated once and reused, so a standard phrase cannot come out two different ways on two products.
A row we are not sure about comes back in English
Never half translated. It arrives with the original text and a reason in its own column, so you can see what stopped it and decide. Most are health claims with no matching wording in the register in that language.

No volume discount, and that is deliberate
The fifth language costs us the same as the first — same catalogue, a new run against the register. A ladder that rewards ten languages would make the shop that wants two feel short-changed.
Bigger than that?
Catalogues above the top tier are quoted individually. Write to us and we will look at it together. hello@ruleradar.eu
You need an audit first
Translation is ordered from a finished audit of the catalogue you want translated. It is not a sales gate — it is what makes the claim protection possible at all.
Start with the audit
Scan a product free to see what we find, or go straight to pricing. The translation is ordered from the audit when it is done.
